This post is both informative and rhyming! (Because why not both?!) It’s all about Tivoli Gardens, an epic amusement park in downtown Copenhagen.
Want fun in Copenhagen?
I’ve got just the place!
‘Cause Tivoli is sure
To put a smile on your face
It’s a theme park, and gardens,
Attractions, and more!
It’s a magical place
Come see what’s in store
The grounds are stunning
Y’all REALLY gotta see
(And btw… it was built
In 1843!)
There are pathways and peacocks,
So many flowers, it’s ridic
As you wander along
You’ll take many a pic
An electric robot bunny
Keeps the grass looking nice
In my opinion, that alone
Might be worth the price
And speaking of money
Entry will cost 15 bucks
(Then you pay for other stuff
Which admittedly, sucks)
But it’s still budget friendly
There’s free things to be found
Like theatre and ballet,
Or just walk the park grounds
But there are sooo many rides
If you’re willing to pay
Buy each ride, or get a pass
For ALL rides – the whole day!!!
Ferris wheel or bumper cars
Plenty of rides are v chill
Or go on a rollercoaster
For more of a thrill
And if you like the park by day…
Just wait for the night
Thousands of lights line the paths
It’s a beautiful sight
It’s popular (for good reason!)
Danes and tourists hold it dear
And millions of people
Like to visit each year
If you want fun in Copenhagen
Then I really gotta say,
Tivoli’s the place to be
For a really awesome day!

January 30, 2017Fun – good memories. I use to travel to Copenhagen a few times a year from mid 1990’s to early 2000’s. I spent a few weekends in Tivoli : ) was surprise by big deal made for mermaid, twisted ankle a few times on cobble stones…. and really enjoyed the people, beer, bread and coffee (pressed).
Thanks for all the wonderful pictures and stories.

January 30, 2017Copenhagen was such a cool place!! At the time, we were low on calendar days that we were allowed to be in the Schengen Zone, but I’m SO GLAD we made the time to go there. I completely agree on your views of the mermaid (lol), people, and food. I’d go back in a heartbeat!
